It was rumored, or rather the truth, that with the release of chat GPT, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, issued a red alert. A few months later, Google announced Bard, an AI tool equivalent to chat-up. Since then, fierce competition has started between Google and Openai, which currently Openai is currently in a significant lead. But Google is also trying its best to catch up.
Between this battle of chat assistants, The web browsing industry will significantly decline with the introduction of chatbots. I (a college student) have started using it considerably compared to Google search. It very well summarises research papers for researchers. Dictate some old news for which you must search the article in Google. With these chat assistants, you will reduce or stop using Google search that much. Once these chat assistants start using the internet and get the proper information as answers, there will be less use of search engines worldwide. And will be replaced with chatbots.
And who knows, in 10 years, something new will come up to even compete with the chatbots?
